About the Recipe

An impressive throw together that's better than takeout!

Ingredients

2 Onions, rough chop

2 Bell peppers, rough chop

1 can pineapple with juice

Organic bullion base and a little water

2 Tbs honey, plus 1 Tbs molasses or date powder OR 3 Tbs brown sugar

3 Tbs vinegar of choice

1 Tbs organic Tamari or coconut aminos or Soy sauce

2 Tbs Arrowroot powder or corn starch

4 drops of hot sauce

fresh grated or powdered ginger (a few shakes is plenty!) to taste


Doubles well. Serve over rice

Preparation

Fry onions and peppers in pan until onions are translucent. Add bullion and a little water. Dump in pineapple tidbits and juice from can. Add in your sweetener of choice. Stir in 3 Tbs of vinegar. Bring to a boil and add thickening mixture:

1Tbs arrowroot or cornstarch, water to mix. stirred into boiling pan.

turn to low until sauce thickens.


Broil meatballs and stir in, or alternatively stir in cooked chicken or protein of choice and warm through.

serve over rice or noodles.
