About the Recipe
Baby and beauty wipes that are non-toxic, smell great, and leave your skin feeling fresh.

Ingredients
Organic cotton, bamboo or other natural fiber cloths that can be washed and laundered (consider old towels, receiving blankets, flannel sheets etc. that still have life that can be cut and edges sewn). OR a roll of paper towel sawed in half with a bread knife, cardboard tube removed (will use half of this roll for one recipe), or purchased dry wipes of your choice.
Glass container that holds all of your cloths with lid, or reuse a baby wipes container or even a large mason jar in a pinch.
2 Cups boiled or distilled water warmed. I like to warm it to make sure all of the oils and everything mix well.
4 or 6 C measuring cup or heat safe bowl
1 Tbs of Dr. Bronner's Castile Soap
1 Tbs Thayers Witch Hazel Toner, Alcohol free *optional (be mindful of the ingredients in the scented varieties, some are cleaner than others)
1 Tbs fractionated coconut oil
Preparation
place your cloths in a zig zag stack (you know, like tissues that link and pull each other out of the box). Do this by laying one cloth down, then overlapping the next cloth halfway covering the previous one, fold the first square so that it is folded around the edge of the next cloth. Take 3rd cloth and line it up on top, half of it on the "stack", half waiting to wrap the next cloth. Fold the previous cloth flap over that edge, alternating adding in cloths one at a time until you have a stack that pulls the next cloth out as you go. This is unnecessary but worth the time in a disaster situation! You can also use the staggered roll technique by rolling your "log" of towels by beginning to roll one halfway and then tucking the next cloth in and continuing to roll, adding cloths as you go. If you use paper towel, this is done for you!
Mix all ingredients in a measuring cup (it is very important to use distilled or boiled water here. Because we aren't using any preservatives we need to minimize the opportunity for bacteria to thrive) or heat safe bowl and then pour over your cloth stack and let it soak up all the liquid. If you are making these as makeup remover pads (and you should!) or cloths, feel free to add in some frankincense or other preferred essential oils for skincare.
Close container up and let cool to reasonable temperature before using.
Be sure to fully wash containers between use to prevent mildew.
